Kerry Francis

Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Kerry qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire in 2002. She began her career in the NHS, completing a wide range of junior rotations before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, gaining extensive experience in both acute injuries and persistent pain conditions.

Kerry went on to work as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at the Royal Marines Base Chivenor for seven years. During this time, she managed complex injuries in a high-demand military population, including sport and training-related injuries, return-to-duty rehabilitation and longer-term conditions affecting performance.

Later she worked as a Team Lead Physiotherapist within the NHS before moving into private practice. She now treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and has a particular interest in working with dancers, women’s health, and those looking to return to sport and activity or simply improve their overall health.
Her clinical approach combines detailed biomechanical assessment with an understanding of the nervous system’s role in pain, movement and recovery.

Kerry has completed further postgraduate training in persistent pain, hands on mobilisation techniques, tendinopathy, running gait analysis, myofascial release, trauma-informed practice, CBT and ACT. She also holds a Diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Diploma in Yoga Teaching and provides CPD for the Yoga for Health Foundation.

Currently studying an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Bath in 2026, continuing to develop her expertise in the latest evidence-based rehabilitation and performance-focused care.

Outside of work, Kerry enjoys spending time with her ‘almost-grown-up’ children and dogs, as well as walking, cycling and yoga, and loves helping people understand their bodies, move, and feel better.
