About Peak Physio

Peak Physio was founded in 2007 by Jane Newman MSc BSc MMACP MCSP HPC

After working across many varied settings for both the NHS and Nuffield Hospitals, Jane used her many years of experience and business acumen to start her own private practice and PEAK PHYSIO was born.

Working for the NHS Jane completed her rotations at Guy’s & St. Thomas Hospital, London before specialising in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Jane then went on to study for her MSc at the University College, London.

In 2005 Jane took these skills to the French Alps where she was a senior physiotherapist in Courchevel for a leading British physio clinic.
On her return, she joined Nuffield Health and worked at Management level including the role of Advanced Level Practitioner and Regional Clinical Lead where she worked for over 10 years.Her experience also included travelling as the lead physio with the EIS, at Olympic and Commonwealth Games and on the Exec board for the MACP.

PEAK PHYSIO began operating from a small clinic setting at DARTS FARM before Jane was successful in tendering for the DAVID LLOYD EXETER contract in 2009.

PEAK PHYSIO’S vision remain true to this day by providing an established and exceptional clinic of caring Physiotherapists and Massage therapists that are highly skilled in their field to provide the patient with exceptional care.

Peak Physio has been based at David Lloyd, Exeter from the club opening date and in the 17 years which followed, Jane and the PEAK team have provided a leading service for members and non-members of the club, based at Sandy Park.

Peak Physio’s team is bursting with highly skilled Physio’s and Massage Therapists and being within David Lloyd means we can provide a very high standard of care for all our patients. We provide a range of physiotherapy to include all traditional physiotherapy techniques, acupuncture, aquatherapy, return to sport and injury prevention on the gym floor. Peak Physio is fortunate to be able to work using top of the range equipment and facilities at David Lloyd with our patients.

Peak Physio aims not only to provide exceptional care and get you back to what you love as quickly as possible, it also prides itself to bring you back stronger and more knowledgeable than you were before to help prevent against further injuries and optimise your health and well being, be that in professional sport, recreational athletes or in everyday life.
