David Weeks – Physio

Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine. PGDip Sports and Exercise Medicine. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPC).

David is a Chartered Physiotherapist qualifying from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 1999 with an honour’s degree in Physiotherapy. He has a graduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and completed a Master’s Degree in this subject at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC). David also holds a qualification in Injection Therapy achieved in 2010 from Southampton University.

Following graduation David worked within the NHS before progressing into professional sport. David was one of the head physios for Men’s Wales Senior International Football team, he has worked for Birmingham City FC, Ipswich Town FC and The Football Association (FA). He has also worked for the MOD as Clinical Lead for the Southwest Region and with Plymouth Albion RFC as Lead of Rehabilitation.

David divides his time working at Peak Physio and as an Extended Scope Practitioner for Somerset Community Health working closely with orthopaedic surgeons across the county. He also lecturers on the MSc Sports and Exercise Medicine course at the University of Cardiff (UWIC) and on the medical advisory panel for the Football Association (FA).

David has a wealth of experience working with a large degree of injuries having specific interest in musculoskeletal medicine, international athletes, and a high level of rehabilitation and prevention strategies with the primary aim of getting patients back to full fitness.

David is a very keen footballer, water sports, skiing and climbing enthusiast.

Over 25 years of Physio experience in a range of settings. Including, NHS, Military, professional sports medicine, private and masters lecturing.
